So Much Formal Was Had
Once in a while, AGO decides to do something epic for formal. This was one of those time. Our Vice President, Michael Morse (a.k.a. spork), undertook a grand project. Not only was he capable of procuring a private room from the amazing Sudwerks restaurant, but he also transformed our fraternity parents' property into a dance floor and archery range. His work through the wee hours of the morning along with the work of many other brothers allowed us to all have a wonderful time and for that we salute you, sir!
Avengers take Silver
The Avengers (AGO's IM soccer team, not the comic superhero team) took second place in their division, with a winning record of 3-2. There were some highs and lows throughout the season that culminated in a tense final game. By the end of the first half of the final game, the Avengers were down 3-1. By the second half, though, the Avengers took the lead going 4-3. The second half ended with the score tied at 5-5 and it went to shoot-outs. The shoot-outs ended and the Avengers had won!
Winter Football Classic 2013
If you missed it, you really missed it. Iota's Winter Football Classic has come and gone leaving a few groups with some giant checks (no really, we got them giant checks.) Football Kills My Gains took home $150 after earning first place, with Sigma Phi Epsilon at second earning $100, and Sigma Chi taking third place and $50. It was a great time with great fun and great food had by all. We're looking forward to next year guys, so be ready for it!

Now that we’re about half way through our Winter quarter here at Davis, the Iota chapter of AGO has completed its elections and installed its new officers. Elections were close this year (well, they usually are, but still), but we have a few fresh faces representing the Iota chapter as its executive body. The positions up for the voting were vice... Brothers! We have three new people to include in that list – the brothers, I mean. Michael “spork the milk dragon” Morse (better known as spork) and Javier “baby lopez the knight” Zepeda (a.k.a. knight) have joined the ranks of the Iota brothers. Not seen in the picture, though, is brother Paul “sugarbeard”... [Read more of this review]
